Welcome to Quattro Environmental, Inc.

Thank you for visiting our web site. Our objective is to formulate and supply the seeding/soil amendment materials uniquely suited to support the "Growing Soil™" and "Holding Soil™" technologies developed to successfully establish sustainable native plant growth on drastically disturbed soils in harsh environments.

Growing Soil™Growing Soil™
Our focus upon "growing soil" recognizes that the key to establishing sustainable native plant growth is to re-build sterile soils into vibrant organic matter, rich in living microorganisms. Rather than merely growing plants per se, this strategy involves setting the stage for the natural re-establishment of mycorrhizal fungi, soil bacteria and other beneficial soil organisms necessary to grow early seral stage native plants - pioneer species that act as soil builders. This is accomplished through the incorporation of certain organic complexes of enzymes and bacteria (KIWI POWER™ Organic Soil Treatment), and protein-rich organic fiber nutrients (Fertil-Fibers™ NutriMulch) into the soil, to revitalize the humus and tilth of the seedbed, while delivering a sustained release of nitrogen/nutrients during the initial plant growing season. We are growing soil organisms first and foremost, in order to sustain vegetative cover on site through all stages of plant succession in our efforts to ultimately re-establish climax native plant species.

Holding Soil™
From our Atlas SoilLok™ Heavy Duty Soil Binder, that is also the most environmentally clean on the market, to Cliffhanger Tack™, The Bargain Binder That's Better, Quattro's line of Holding Soil™ materials are the most technologically advanced soil stabilizers available today.

Each is specially formulated to work with our Growing Soil™ line of microorganism stimulants and plant nutrients to assure revegetation success at every site.

Nutritious Bonded Fiber Membrane
The Kiwi Power/Fertil-Fibers combination, then, is the cornerstone of your plant establishment efforts. Such plant growth efforts will be enhanced by the immediate and interim soil stabilization capabilities of ATLAS SoilLok™ heavy-duty soil binder, applied in tandem with Tackifibers™ for your toughest stabilization challenges.

By applying the above Quattro Advantage materials in combination, you create the top-performing, one-step erosion control system "nutritious bonded fiber membrane" (NBFM) at a very reasonable price.

Underlying Science
For those of you interested in researching the underlying science behind the "Growing Soil" strategy, see the abstract provided online for your review, with access to the full research paper upon request.

Our Growing Soil approach to establishing sustainable native plants on sterile soil is being successfully utilized throughout the Western United States as a "nutrient nurturing" alternative to the conventional and largely unsuccessful "sugar shot" agronomic approach to reclamation seeding in desert environments. While initially utilized in both hydroseeding and drill seeding applications to accomplish harsh environment reclamation and erosion control bioengineering objectives, the strategy has now successfully been applied to remedy salt-induced, soil compaction challenges in the golf course/sports field turf arena.

NEW! Technical Articles Section
Our Technical Articles Section makes its debut with two articles written by Quattro Environmental President Peter McRae. Peter discusses the state of the reclamation seeding industry as it relates to the Growing Soil strategy. We've also brought the articles previously available throughout our web site into this new section in order to make it easier to find the information you are looking for.

Turnkey Assistance Available
To discuss the benefits of applying the Growing Soil and Holding Soil strategy to your specific site, please call us at Quattro Environmental and we will be happy to give you whatever assistance we can, or give you a referral on to an independent Native Plants Alliance design professional. In addition, if you are interested in incorporating the Quattro Advantage materials into your reclamation seeding design, Specification Language is provided online for your use.

We recognize that each site is unique. Please give us a call or drop us a line. We want to be your partner in solving your native plant revegetation/erosion control and turf maintenance challenges in the field.
