Research + Experience = New Solutions
When Quattro Environmental first researched the reclamation industry over 10 years ago, we realized something was missing - consistently successful results. However, drawing from diverse experts, Quattro spearheaded a new approach that we believed would revolutionize the industry. Our goal was to increase the success rate of growing native plants, even in harsh environments. The results of this novel technology exceeded even our expectations.
To prove these results were reproducible in a variety of environments, we conducted extensive research at leading western universities. They helped identify and quantify the mechanisms that produced these successes and lead to a greater understanding of the critical role that healthy, ecologically balanced soil plays in the growing of plants, especially western native plants.
Spectacular
Results On A Wide Variety of Sites
Our Growing Soil approach has produced unqualified
success at site after site with drastically disturbed soils.
Ranging from high mountain passes to toxic mine soil, from
environmentally sensitive wetlands to desert golf courses,
Quattro delivers successful results and at a lower price
than
conventional methods.
Early on, Quattro recognized that each site was unique. So we broadened our focus from developing materials to providing a methodology that addresses each site's particular challenges. This comprehensive focus is why Quattro's materials and methods produce revegetation on every site.
Quattro's
Growing Soil Technology
We found that to grow sustainable native plants requires
living soil rich with a complex of humus, tilth and numerous
site-specific microorganisms. This includes the symbiotic
relationship with mycorrhizal fungi, which is required by
95% of all native western plants.
Our "bioengineered materials" deliver consistent results by providing the crucial missing ingredients to literally "grow the soil." Kiwi Power™ Organic Soil Treatment stimulates the growth of the beneficial microorganisms and mycorrhizal fungi, and Fertil-Fibers™ NutriMulch provides the essential long-term nutrients both the plants and microorganisms need during the initial growing period. Without these stimuli, it can take Mother Nature anywhere from 50 years to 10,000 years to revegetate a site.

Assured - Member of Native Plants Alliance (NPA)
The NPA was formed by a group of concerned scientists
and professionals to develop and refine the comprehensive
approach which now virtually guarantees success at every
site.
Growing Soil materials are proud to be a vital part
of the NPAprogram, providing the foundation ingredients native
plant growth requires. Together, we can grow sustainable
native
plants, even in harsh environments. Put us to work on your
